Muang Boran (MUANGBORAN)

Muang Boran (muangboran)

Around a Thailand in half a day? ! We will introduce "Muang Boran" which is irreplaceable for ruins, temple lovers.

What is "Muang Boran"?

I love ruins and temples and I do not have the time, but it is good news for those who want to see the buildings throughout Thailand.

"Muang Boran" in Samut Prakan Province in 1 time on taxi from Bangkok city time is located in 128 ten thousand square meters of the theme park where elaborate copies of historic buildings such as ruins and temples all over Thailand is.

Even the ruins of longing that are far away and can not go, you can look around in half a day if it is here.

Buildings are faithfully reproduced and are made almost in full size.

Moreover, the site of the theme park itself has the same shape as the land of Thailand and it is surprising to say that there is a copy of the land in the same place as the actual place.

The owner of "Muang Boran" has made this facility to sell imported cars and to make goods and widely convey the culture of their country.

"Muang Boran" means "ancient city" in Thai language, the original building which opened in 1963 year was about 80 building, but now it is a number that is fairly impressive with about 120 building, even now It has been expanded.

Purchase Muang Boran tickets

Proceeding from the gate of "Muang Boran" to the back, there is a reception office on the left hand side, and I will purchase the entry ticket here.

Foreign ticket fee is adult 700B.

This fee includes bicycle 1 day rental fee and guided tour in the tram kart.

We are given a map and a machine of English voice guidance, and after receipt the staff will take you to the entrance gate of the ruins with the cart.

After you get off you can tell the gathering time of the tour in the garden tour by tram cart so we will visit the hall freely up to the hour.

There are several tram cart stops in the park, so we can participate halfway through each landing.

As the number of participants will vary depending on the number of participants, we encourage you to join from the beginning as well.

Because the site is extensive and it is impossible to visit on foot, rent a bicycle and borrow around the garden.

Inside the Muang Boran garden

As I watched the map, I went around the ruins by bicycle and the first thing I visited was the pagoda of "Nakhon Si Thammarat" in the southern part of Thailand and the pagoda of "Suratani" near the starting point.

I decided to turn around from a distant place that is not included in the tram cart tour, and I went around the "Panomurun" ruins located near the northeastern Thailand (Isan region) and the Cambodian border.

Actually it is said to be a difficult place to go because of poor access at the Khmer ruins on the mountaintop of the dead volcano, but a temple was built in a small hill in the garden, beautifully decorated and the Khmer architecture was reproduced tightly.

Prasat Prahihan

Next we saw "Prasat Prurihan" in Seasaket County where the Thai Mail ruins scattered.

This temple in the border area between Thailand and Cambodia was decided to be the Cambodian territory in the trial conducted in 1962, but since the approach and the stairs are located in the Thai side, many people visit from Thailand side, Thailand and Cambodia It was a complicated temple that you can ask for payment of entrance fee from both.

After being registered as a World Heritage Site in Cambodia by UNESCO in Cambodia called 2008, the Thai side has strongly repulsed and blocked the border, so we can not go from Thailand side.

In the 2011 year, both countries clash with each other, it is judged that the land around the temple belongs to Cambodia in 2013 month of 11 year and it is finally settled.

This temple, meaning "sacred temple" in Thai language and Cambodian language, is famous for its ruins like a fort built in the cliff, but also makes cliffs firmly in the garden, cliffs firmly, it is amazingly sophisticated A temple was built.

The view from the top of the mountain is good, the building has a stately style, and as soon as I saw this temple, I was satisfied with "Muang Boran".

Meals at Muang Boran

I just got hungry, so I decided to have lunch at a cafeteria in the water market in Ayutthaya.

When ordering Cao · Pat · Gapao · Gai (chicken's Holly Basil fried rice), it was very delicious and local spicy seasoning was done, I was satisfied.

As I was cooking in the immediate vicinity of the table, it was hard to see the pepper's smoke when stirring the ingredients.

Sweets and souvenirs are also sold in the water market as well as restaurants, and a meal break has been taken with a relaxed mood.

Tram cart tour

I went to the meeting place of promises and the tramcart tour began.

The older brother of the staff who guided the guide will explain the ruins in Thai language while driving the tram cart.

Foreigners will turn on the audio guide machine in English borrowed at the reception and listen to the explanation (unfortunately there was no Japanese translation).

Dusit Maha Prasat Palace

Dusit Maha Prasat Palace

First I went to the "Dusit Maha Prasato" palace built first in Bangkok's royal palace, after visiting the old shopping street, traditional crafts and Thai souvenirs in Thailand, "Old Market Town" It was.

Built by Rama 1, the roof of the 7 layer structure decorated with gold on a pure white wall has a throne with Garuda's emblem and is famous as a palace for events such as the royal funeral.

In the inside of the building there is also a mural painting the living of the time in colors based on red and gold, and when I visited the royal palace before, "Dusit Maha Prasat Palace" enters not only inside but also I was banned and I could not even go to my eyes, so I was impressed by the fact that I could take a closer look here.

Sanpet Prasat Temple

Sanpet Prasat Temple

Next, I went to "San Pet · Placert" temple in Ayutthaya province.

This palace characterized by an elegant gray roof seems to have burned out without a trace when the Ayutthaya dynasty was devastated by the invasion of Burma in 1767 year.

Even now Ayutthaya has not been restored, only trace remains.

However, this Muang Boran seemed to reproduce this palace on the basis of the literature at the time, and I felt the passion not to be by the owner.

Sanpet Prasat Temple

The inside of the palace was very nice decorated with red and gold based.

Wat Chang Khong

After running for a while on a tram kart, we saw "Wat Chen Khong" in Chiang Rai Province, near the border with Laos across the Mekong River in the northeastern part of Thailand.

It is a building where the skill of the artisan who built without using a single nail glows.

The building is airy and has a structure that allows the wind to blow through, so cool as the fans are turning.

"Pavilion of the enlightened" enlightenment

pavilion of the enlightened enlightenment of enlightenment

Finally, I went to a beautiful building of green and gold, apart from enlightenment of 'pavilion of the enlightened' enlightenment which can be said as a highlight of Muang Boran.

Although it is a Thai architecture of distinctive color, this building with a Chinese atmosphere exists in luxury that it seems to come out in the movie, and it became a sense of magical place to be in this place It was.

It was really nice to see a wonderful building.

A trip around Thailand in half a day!

How was it?

Ayutthaya ruins, Khmer ruins etc. The "Muang Boran" which is beautifully made like a real thing is a sanctuary located in a distant place in the real thing, there are some buildings which can not be put in for protection, but if it is here, it can be enjoyed casually So, as an ultimate theme park where you can travel around Thailand in half a day, why do not you visit once?
